About Angela Bennett
For over 20 years, I led a multi-faceted career in the fast-paced beauty industry with roles in Marketing, General Management and Human Resources. Now I utilize my years of experience in corporate roles to help others navigate meaningful career journeys and all the complexity along the way.
Through coaching, I facilitate forward motion in people, brands and organizations. There’s beauty in moving forward towards a goal and I help people move with intentional purpose. My unique combination of experience as both a business leader and a Human Resource professional offers a deep level of understanding and relatability to my clients, through my first-hand experience in executive leadership and talent development roles.

Building Businesses and Building TeamsI started my career in Marketing at Clinique. Throughout my career, I touched at least 7 different skincare and cosmetics brands including Maybelline, Garnier, La Roche-Posay and CeraVe. Through deep indulgence in consumer insights and market research, I launched many successful products that are still on the market today. My work gave me the opportunity to entrepreneurially build businesses to hundreds of millions of dollars and lead marketing and sales teams over 100 people strong. All my work would not have been possible without building strong teams, with complementary skill sets.

Lessons for LifeI harnessed many lessons from successes and failures. I rode the roller coaster of good times in healthy economies that yielded strong sales as well as the hard times, working to turnaround declining brands or pivoting marketing strategies and business models during recessions and the COVID pandemic.
My strengths are in strategic thinking and connectedness. A balance of creativity and an obsession with executional excellence helped me succeed each step of the way. However, it was my authenticity and empathetic leadership that was behind how I boldly rallied teams of people together towards a vision. |
Cross-Country and Cross-Cultural Experience |
The work was stressful, yet rewarding. It required resilience, strong work ethic, strategies to counter burn out, and a lot of travel. Before I started working, I had never been to the West Coast. I soon saw Santa Barbara, San Francisco, San Diego, San Antonio, Milwaukee, New Orleans, among many cities, and attended numerous corporate meetings in Florida and Hawaii too! My work, during my 20 years with L’Oreal took me to Paris, where I had a seat at the table working among fellow colleagues running their brands in countries across the world. Working in a global company, I learned a lot about cross cultural context in business and walked away with many friends in different countries.
A Passion for People Development
In my 20 years I set and reset new ambitions for myself and carved my own unique career path. As my career evolved, more of my emphasis went toward building teams, developing people and mentoring work. I helped colleagues and team members navigate their way through a complex corporate culture.

I loved this part of my work, especially when my team members moved on to great, new roles. So, I took my passion to a new role in HR, heading up Talent Acquisition and Talent Management, working with a team of 30+ recruiters and talent management experts who found their fulfillment every day in matching an individual’s experience, skill set, passion and purpose with a next level career opportunity. I became a Certified Professional Coach shortly after my career move and started coaching in my Talent Management role within the corporation. Communicating my own career testimony also served to inspire others to find their path based on their own passions and individual strengths.
