I often work with clients to customize 2-3 resumes to position themselves well for specific roles with a tailored resume that emphasizes certain skills and experiences. LinkedIn’s Resume Builder not only creates a resume from your profile, it also scans your resume for relevant skills and keywords that may be missing based on the type of role you enter into the “Desired Job Title” box. You can then edit the resume to add in keywords and save it as a separate PDF without changing you main LinkedIn profile. Whether you utilize LinkedIn’s resume format or not, check out the keyword scan capability. It can be a helpful tool in tailoring your resume to a specific role.
